notthai
I am currently on a 30-day extension using the embassy letter route. My partner has just received his Non-O one year extension yesterday. We were planning to get married earlier in the year but plans changed. We are both from the same country. My question is, can I apply for a dependent visa within Thailand if we register our marriage here within these 30 days? Can I apply for it at an Immigration office or should I employ a visa agent? I am not over 50 like my partner so I can't apply for the retirement visa. Any input/helpful suggestions welcome. Many thanks.
ubonjoe
You would not qualify to apply for a 90 day non immigrant visa (category O) entry at immigration for being a member you wife's family (there is no dependent visa or extension) after getting married that is required to apply for an extension on that basis. List of those that can qualify apply for a visa is here. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=2537 There have been some reports agents being able to arrange them.
