Bangkok: Soi Cowboy sweet seller attacked by young man and left in a bloodied heap

Thai media called a young man who attacked a sweet seller in the Soi Cowboy nightlife area of Bangkok a cruel savage. 

 

A post by "E-tim Bertong" on Facebook pictured the victim lying in a bloodied heap outside a 7-Eleven branch in Asoke, Sukhumvit 21.

 

The poster said they saw the man every day and condemned the attack. 

 

Sanook quoted other reports from an online source that suggested a good Samaritan had come to the aid of the sweet seller when they saw him being attacked by a younger person at 2 am.

 

The young person was asked the reason for attacking the man and said that he was a thief.

 

He then rode off on his bicycle. 

 

The convenience store staff and the good Samaritan helped the man and called the police. 

 

They doubted that he had stolen anything.

Didn't there used to be a police post at the end of Soi Cowboy, beside the cowboy no-meter using taxi drivers who they ignored? Still, at 2am in the new normal I guess everyone had packed up and gone.
