With all the recent discussions on whether Thai caddies should be compulsory, well over 2/3rds of golfers polled in Thaivisa’s Golf in Thailand Survey just published, actually agreed that Caddies do enhance their round of golf.

PHUKET: The Secretary General of the People’s Network Against Corruption has filed a request to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to investigate the land ownership of the Sripanwa resort located on Phuket’s Cape Panwa and to reinvestigate cases related to former Phuket Land Office chief Tawatchai Anukul.

SET continues slide as Thailand edges toward political turmoil

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index continued its week-long slide on Friday, closing at 1,244.94, down 2.52 points or 0.20 per cent. Total transactions amounted to Bt45.62 billion with an index high of 1,256.40 and a low of 1,241.66.

(Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga told the United Nations General Assembly on Friday Japan is determined to host the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 after the games were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump plans on Saturday to name conservative federal appeals court judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court created by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, two sources said on Friday.

KYIV (Reuters) - A military transport plane carrying air force cadets crashed and burst into flames near a highway in northeastern Ukraine on Friday evening, killing at least 22 people on board, officials said.

GENEVA/ZURICH (Reuters) - The global death toll from COVID-19 could double to 2 million before a successful vaccine is widely used and could be even higher without concerted action to curb the pandemic, an official at the World Health Organization said on Friday.

Rains expected to ease across the country

The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Saturday that the monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast while the weakening southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the South, resulting in less rain all over the country.

Around 4.30 am today Pho Klang police in Nakhon Ratchasima received reports of a tour bus having smashed into a truck trailer at an intersection on the Korat to Kabinburi Route 304.
