14  10   7....won't matter..nobody will fly here to do that

I disagree. After the hospitals (again) in the EU, UK and the US become overwhelmed and the death rates rise accordingly, folks with money will come here. But you're right, the person who travels by the seat of their pants will not be able to cover it..

quarantine is good for nothing,  0 day is ok . All humans will get in contact with some corona antigens from different virus mutations sooner or later. Virus production is not sine qua non. "Wrong" immune cells are responsible for the diseases.
the hint concerning a good vaccine  : vaccination is based on antigens

Anutin is the Public Health Minister and was he not recently bestowed a lofty position with WHO for SE Asia? If WHO has a minimum standard for quarantine of 14 days, how on earth can Anutin as a WHO representative advocate 10 days... Another non-starter..

They haven't got to the technicalities yet.. just the hot air.

Doesn't matter .... 14 , 10 , 7 ,  2 .....  until a safe vaccine in produces and quarantine completely removed then and only then will tourists return,  and of coarse flights & border openings.  imo

That'll be sometime next year the... don't think Pipat can wait that long for his master plan to come to fruition.

With quarantine of 14, 10 or 7 days no one will come.. !!!!

Many places within our own countries or Europe to visit

If TAT wants visitors NO quarantine but:

  • valid (-)ve virus test 72-48hrs before departure
  • (-)ve virus test on arrival
  • (+)ve quarantine
  • every tourist has a bar code issued upon arrival
  • set up multiple virus testing facilities: generate employment for local medical personnel:
  • daily virus tests of all tourists for 14 days, tied with bar code: charged to tourists at cost
  •

Thailand is to much to cautious. 97 percent recover from Covid-19.

But only 95 percent from flu.

So, and it's obvious that WHO and the nations planned something bigger with that whole Covid-19

ScaringMachine.

Wake up

Yes, every country in the world, even the ones like China and US that agree on nothing; have all conspired together, and managed to keep this conspiracy a secret.

Lucky for the world that you have figured it out and let us know.

Where did you see Anutin mentioned in this article? I only see Dr Thawee Chotphitayasunon's who's an

adviser to the Thai health ministry, and also  advised caution and further studies before making any decisions, and tourism minister Pipat Ratchakitprkarn

Besides, I'm not so sure the WHO know much, or any better than other health professionals, nor about their objectivity and integrity.

Of course, 5% of people with flu do not die. It is more like 0.01-0.05%, just another poster who doesn't know what they are posting about. But 3% for Covid - that is 'about' right.

Anyway, Covid has already probably killed more people this year than any flu pandemic has since the Spanish flu of 100 years ago - and it is no way finished yet. It will be not be how many thousands, but how many millions die (1st million will be officially passed this weekend).

Do you mean let the tourists roam free anywhere they want but continue testing for virus on a daily basis? And what happens if any tourist is found positive after few days out on the streets? Find everybody that was in their proximity and isolate them?

I agree the country should open up and that quarantine is expensive and will deter many tourists from coming. But no quarantine at all and let everybody from everywhere in is not the answer either

Even seven is too much. Test on departure and arrival, that's it. Otherwise only desperate ones will travel in.

Ever heard of incubation period?

It's still 14 days, but they include the period between your first Corona test and your test at embarkment in Thailand. And that takes 4 days normally.

Of course only for people got vaccinated at least 14 days before disembarkment. Guess they'll check your WHO vaccination card.
