Thailand extends grace period for stranded foreigners




BANGKOK, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Thailand on Monday extended a grace period for visa renewals for foreigners stranded in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic until the end of October, as travel restrictions remain in place and new infections climb globally.

Former candidate for Seri Ruam Thai Party given 50 years for drug trafficking




A former candidate for Thailand’s Seri Ruam Thai political party, and a Chinese man, were today sentenced to 50 years in prison after they, along with two other Chinese nationals, were found guilty of drug trafficking.

Survey - People believe political conflicts can be resolved




BANGKOK (NNT) - With many people still coping with the adverse effects of COVID-19, the country also has to put up with political conflicts. A recent public survey, by the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll, reveals that most respondents see that this is the time for people to help find solutions to the problems and that they can be resolved, if there is sincerity.

Ministries promote rubber as road safety material




BUENG KAN (NNT) - The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives have ordered the acceleration of campaigns promoting the use of natural rubber in the production of road safety equipment, aimed at increasing road safety while raising rubber prices.
