The Australian man who starred in iconic Solo ads is arrested in Cambodia

The man who starred as the ‘Solo Man’ in an iconic ad from the 1980s has been arrested in Cambodia after being allegedy found with drugs.

 

The star of the iconic ‘Solo Man’ Schweppes drink ad has been arrested for alleged drug activity in Cambodia, after earlier prison terms in the same country and in Thailand.

 

Mark Robert Coutelas was once the face of the Schweppes fizzy lemon drink Solo, featuring in a popular mid-1980s TV commercial series, Solo Lemon, The Thirst Crusher.

 

In the ads the then fit and muscly 35-year-old did man-of-action feats like canoeing off a cliff or whitewater rafting rapids before downing a can of Solo as a reward for his efforts.

Lot of previous on this guy surely a known head from back in the day here in Thailand?

 

Pure riff raff and Cambodia has a lot of these types I reckon. Real murkers, maybe the posters here should take a trip there and maybe we would all be that more polite to one another. Different breed there chaps.

Judging by some of the many ladies he keeps company with on his social media pages (shown on some other news sites), this guy still has no shortage of energy.  Must be still slamming down those Solo's.  

 

That ad was so good he will always be the Solo man, no matter what stupid things he may do.

He was good in that ad. Sad outcome.
