Of course, don't you know rich people are a better class, and can't possibly have diseases like us filthy common people.

The only reason I could think of for a Chinese millionaire to fly into Thailand would be to research for a set-up for takeover of properties.

It's a heist.

Chinese multi millionaires aren't interested in a few poxy condos in Bangkok. The only interest they have in Thailand is to persuade the government that Thailand needs casinos. Expect them to visit certain ministrys with a couple of suitcases of cash.

Does anyone see the irony of this? They gave the world this terrible plight!

Who is your 'they'? Explain that, the irony may become apparent. You mean "Chinese millionaires in private jets"?

Political mess in the making.  Hundreds of quality low risk long term visitors wishing to enter are blocked.  Yet, the   Thai administration make a public spectacle out of 7 "wealthy" people from China.  it won't go over well with poor Thais and not with the hundreds of millions of Chinese who are not allowed to travel.

Thais really won't care and how many Thais and Chinese will even know about this story

is this a joke, a group of (7) seven Chinese will save the country's tourism  555

Jeez you guys on here just love to take the click bait don't you.  The Nation can whip you in to a frenzy so easily it is embarrassing and honestly makes this place hardly worth bothering with any more.

Every day you see the obvious click bait headlines, and every day the same people take the same bait and off we go again.

correct .... most Thai's don't give a damn about this news, it's boring to them as all they are thinking about is getting a few hundred baht together tomorrow.   imo

I trust they'll have all the necessary doc's in order to gain entry

US$100K covid insurance cover.

COE permit

Fit to fly certificate

Testing clearance from originating destination

STV approval stamp in valid passport

Then they will be processed at the IO entry facility where :

They will be fitted with a gps tracker wristband

They will be escorted to the appointed ASQ hotel for 14 days quarantine.

somehow, i'm skeptical that they'll have any of this .....  lol

You don't figure they have visa agents to smooth out all the wrinkles?

You can bet that these Chinese guys are personal friends of the government, invited to invest in the remains of the industy which was intenionally ruined by the government. This is part of Chinas road and belt initiative and this is how the generals become unusual rich. And you can bet that these Chinese neither have to do the 14 days quarantine, nor do they have to wear the wristbands to track them.

I agree. Coming in loaded and looking to buy everything up cheap as chips.
