Lot of people becoming infected or testing positive when in quarantine, although when those tested before are stuck on planes with untested it’s not really surprising !

One wonders how much they bill the insurance companies for foreigners that test positive in quarantine ????????????????????????

Unless some one has other ailments there is no need to be hospitalised, another money making scam.

The majority of cases are Thais and they receive free care in government hospital. This policy can be questioned, but it is not driven by "money making".

I think it reflects concern deep about being to ensure   quarantine.  ASQ and State Quarantine facilities are likely unwilling to keep people who have tested positive...and in the case of State Quarantine at least there would likely be huge protests/attempts to break out from the other people quarantined if they heard there was a positive case in the facility even though in a separate room.  An exaggerated response perhaps, but that is how the Thai population reacts to COVID.

Rightly or wrongly the Thai Government has got the majority of Thai people running scared of Covid.
