test1012020
This Facebook video makes no mention of any amnesty until November 30. https://www.facebook.com/ImmigrationBereau/videos/707331816848119/?__so__=channel_tab&__rv__=all_videos_card oh no, this video pubished date is sept 28. https://www.thephuketnews.com/visa-extensions-approved-under-previous-amnesty-to-be-upheld-until-nov-30-77483.php the phuketnews report says, Immigration Bureau Deputy Commissioner Maj Gen Pornchai Kuntee announced the news at a press conference at the Immigration Bureau headquarters in Bangkok today (Sept 29). There was mention of the possibility of amnesty until November 30 at the September 29th Immigration Bureau press conference, can anyone provide a live video of the September 29th Immigration Bureau press conference. ubonjoe
I have seen nothing in writing to confirm what was stated in that news article. Immigration has not posted anything about the new amnesty or anything related to it on their website. The only thing written is the ministerial announcement about the amnesty until October 31st.

Max69xl
The amnesty expires October 31, but people that paid ฿1,900 for an extension before September 26 will get another month = November 30. They have to visit the local immigration office to get the correct stamp in the passport. 1

So unless a police order or head office in Immigration announces this, technically this would be an office-by-office interpretation. I do hope that those people who extended on or prior to Sept 26th get their extra 30 days (until Nov 30th). Otherwise the panic driven, chicken-with-head-cutoff, mad dash to extend before Sept 26th deadline was all for nothing....for the applicant anyway. 2

In short you are telling us what you hope to be true not what you know to be true. I suspect I will find out soon enough, but my under considerstiin stamp is not until the 7th

What about those of us who made our appointments, rocked up to immigration with the correct paperwork and got our stamp without panic or drama? Do we deserve the november extension as well? 2
Wongkitlo
Australian Embassy is reporting it has been gazetted. I guess just their usual misunderstanding.

So you advice people who wish to stay beyond October for another month to start getting their embassy letters or this automatic extension can be officially announced this coming week? You do not need anything to stay until the 31st of this monty under the new amnesty. Did you apply for a 30 day extension before September 26th. I you did you may be allowed to stay until November 30th. There are no details yet but it been stated by immigration people will be able to apply for 60 day extension without a letter from their embassy. 1

I have applied for visit wife/family visa the 28th and it was not issued due to the request for a letter from embassy. I did mention this should not be required and embassy is not issuing any more letters. I need to know if this slip they gave us means we need to go back to immigration and continue the application or can we just leave it and wait until end of October ? You need to go back to immigration and try again for a 60 day extension to visit your wife. A letter from you embassy is certainly no required. That is a receipt for a change of address. Either a TM27 or TM28 report that you completed.
