Popular Post webfact
Scooter rider gets a speeding ticket for doing 299 kmph! Picture: Bright TV Thai social media was full of people posting along the lines of ROTFLMAO (rolling on the floor laughing my A** off) following a Facebook post. A rider of a scooter - a 125cc Yamaha Filano - had received a speeding ticket through the post that said he was doing 299 kilometers an hour. "Teesan Thonburi" stoked the fires of Like-land and Share-ville by suggesting that big bike riders must be quaking in their motorcai boots if they thought a Filano could get to that speed. Bright TV reported that many of the 4,000 shares and likes included comments that something must be awry with the detection equipment. You don't say! JusticeGB
He should offer to sell his magic bike to the policeman who caught him speeding. The bike obviously can drive at magical speeds!

LazySlipper
lol just got a speeding ticket today. Funny thing is they told me I was doing 109 in a 90 zone... but didn't show any proof of this. Do I believe them? yes... but what pisses me off is I saw all the Thai drivers getting away with a pink envelope...

When Orwell wrote 1984 he could not have imagined that not only would the English language be cut down to words of fewer syllables but that it would also end up as a lot of pathetic abbreviations. We already have to suffer the adjective of universal approval ' awesome ' and now this dreadful assassination of the English language. We are regressing back to cavemen.

To a certain extent I agree with you. However, in the context of this post using that abbreviation is pretty impressive considering that the people posting it were Thai speakers who have English as a second language. Perhaps this could be a way to teach idioms to the next generation of Thai ESL learners. lol..
