Free spoons!?!?  what next?  free toilet paper?

Actually almost all schools have no toilet paper... those who do see the kids empty out the dispensers right after the first gym class after which it was replaced. The Thai kids use the tissue as a towel...

Amazing Thailand

he's just teaching the kids entrepreneurship. Let's hope that they get the message, that you either rip off people, or get ripped off yourself, there is no middle road in Thailand for poor village kids .

too many schools allow this <deleted> or are complicit. Our international school charges late students a late fee. Under the guise of a deterrent. But for rich international school kids its preferable to pay the fee and be late and then not be held accountable while the school rakes in a little extra cash. Teachers cant even address the lateness as it has been 'dealt with' by the school. Just typical of a country where you can buy yourself out of trouble if you are rich. Shameful.........

I was a guest teacher at one of the better middle schools in Arizona.  We had a teacher with a vending machine on his desk that sold golf pencils for five cents.  Perfectly, legitimate.  Students could bring their own instead, and spending a day writing with a golf pencils, they usually did.  And anyone, who has worked in education can tell you, it is a small handful of students that are habitually late, or unprepared for class, while mummy makes more than the teacher, by sing squirting out three or for kids.
