Si Racha district officials visited Bankaokansong School in Chonburi province on Friday after photos of a school student eating his lunch with his bare hands went viral.

Officials found that spoons were not being provided to students. On some days, students needed to buy it from a former teacher. However, spoons the students used on Friday were given free of charge.

The students also told the officials that the toilets of their school were dirty and in need of repairs, and the water was contaminated as a result some students did not dare to drink the water.

The permanent secretary of Si Racha district said that concerned persons would meet on October 5 to find solutions to the school's problems.

1 minute ago, scorecard said:

Which all demands that at least 2 committees must be formed and will report in 60 days.

Well the spoons and water could be purchased at 5 times the going rate, a little swill for the trough, then all could be happy.
