Popular Post aussienam
It's sad people make fun of a man murdered with play on words/puns etc. Not so nice when you are faced with a dead body in front of you and a grieving family wailing, etc. And all the Tha Visa 'experienced keyboard detectives' who make conclusions, assumptions, beliefs and wild theories based on a journalist reporting an incident. There are a multitude of reasons why investigations are delayed, why evidence is suddenly discovered etc. I was a detective in Oz and the amount of <deleted> published in news reports even in Oz was amazing. Luckily we had some control with our media liaison unit and very often needed to keep certain aspects of the investigation close to our chests so as not to compromise ongoing enquiries, such as additional suspects, legal reasons, etc. And we had the public ranting about inaction despite the fact we couldn't tell them we were still working hard on cases. Because, letting that out would totally <deleted> up an investigation and put operatives at risk or let savvy crooks know what we were up to. So just because a news article states something, it does not make it necessarily correct and often does not reveal all evidence. The only time most details are revealed in a news report is if it has been concluded at court. Even then often in trials/hearings certain evidence is not admitted and other evidence that is admitted is not publicly revealed as police 'claim privilege', such as if it reveals secretive police methodologies that are important to not reveal to the public. I know Thailand is different, but many things are the same. Anyway, that's my rant. Now, back to reading more keyboard Detectives state what they deem to be 'obvious'. 8 1 1
brianthainess
I would like to know if there were any witness's to the shootings, this could be a double murder, suicided is always an excuse to avoid an investigation, Oh my god is this a conspiracy get the pop corn in. R.I.P. to a guy doing his job who could expose corruption.

They seem to think eating rare and endangered animals will give them superpowers. Muntjacs are not rare or endangered, they are very common indeed. There's even thousands in the UK wandering around after some escaped from a private zoo nearly a century ago. There's loads of wallabies in the UK too for the same reason. Popular Post DogNo1
In my imagination, the director was about to discover that the valuable deer was lost due to the workers fault, so to avoid the shame of responsibility for the deer’s loss, the worker killed the director and then himself. As set forth in Ruth Benedict’s book The Chrysanthemum and the Sword, Japan and many other Asian countries have shame cultures rather than guilt cultures. This accounts for occurrences that do not yield to Western analysis. A friend of mine wrote his Ph.D. thesis on suicide in Japan which continues to have a high suicide rate. It is not uncommon for a man who loses his job to commit suicide and take his family with him. This is incomprehensible to Westerners who can’t imagine that there is no way out of any mistake or misfortune. We have seen again and again on Thai Visa that severe and shocking confrontations can result in murder. In Thai culture, there is no way to handle serious insults and the shame that results. It’s popularly called loss of face and is difficult to recover from. It often results in people avoiding each other forever after.

Albino Barking Deer (Muntiacus muntjak) "Muntjacs are not rare or endangered"? Really? "Native to Indochina, Indonesia, Southern China, Sri Lanka and India, barking deer are a protected species in Thailand, but albinos are very rare."

Airbagwill
I think this shows how deadly serious the illegal wildlife trade in Thailand is......it's on a par with drugs and people smuggling. The government of course raise their hands in horror....but any real action is unlikely to manifest itself. Expect an announcement from some senior official telling other officials to "make sure they do their job" Edited October 4, 2020 by Airbagwill 1
