He hoped to get a 400,000 baht monthly income from his business. But a tip off to the drugs police in Chiang Mai soon spoiled that plan. On Sunday two rented addresses in Wang Tan village in Hang Dong and business premises in Mahidol Road in Muang district of Chiang Mai were raided. Kasuhisa, 41, was arrested along with his employees Prasit, 40, Chumphae, 30, Midao, 47 and Phichet aged 18. Taken into evidence were 407 plants, hundreds of bottles of extract, dried ganja, seeds, and extraction equipment. The Thais were helping the Japanese man sell organic ganja and extract to people in Thailand and Japan through Twitter. Kasuhisa said he had come into Thailand on a tourist visa pre-pandemic. A regular company setup with 4 employees would not be too expensive either. So you would then think, that he paid most other money left (1.5M baht at least) for some licensing? Maybe he was scammed by some agent but as happened a few times before in CM news, later on people get freed but no update in the news. As far I know only Thais could get such license too, also not sure wether it is allowed to grow indoors.
