No. I favor replacing SC judges when one resigns or passes away, as usual. Stacking the court with extra judges in a tantrum will be an unmitigated disaster. The one sensible compromise, which I just can not understand why the democrats do not all choose, is if they decide 9 is a bad number and 12 would be better just make a new law which comes into effect in say a decades time after their potential turn at the helm is over. Everybody would be happy, right?

It seems to be Biden's election to lose. Biden got a clear bump after the first debate and then again after Donald claimed being infected with COVID-19. Maybe Donald should have worn that Superman T-shirt under and ripped his button-down shirt to expose it after being let out of the hospital. It would be nice to see yet another bump for Biden! Betting Odds U.S. President 2020 I hope Democrats DO NOT become complacent like they did in 2016, and I include myself. Yesterday I read an interesting but also scary article showing how Trump could still win, and in a combination of ways. Basically, the article looked at 2016 state by state and showed the polls right before the election and the percentage that Trump actually won or lost by in each state. For example, Trump actually won state X by 5 points but the polls had him winning by only 1 point. The premise being that Trump always polls lower because some voters are embarrassed to admit that they will vote for Trump. So, the author moves on to 2020 and also goes state by state, looking at the polls for each state and then applying the 2016 poll difference from the actual election results. By applying Trump's 2016 state polls and actual results to the current 2020 polls, the author is able to assign a potential win or loss and he shows several ways Trump can win, even if he loses some states and the popular vote. It was interesting that after he goes alphabetically state by state, assigning each state as a win for either Trump or Biden, he is left with just Pennsylvania that is too close to call using his formula. I am hoping for a big Biden win. If it is close, it's easy to see that Trump has been laying the ground work for months to dispute the election and not leave office if he loses. Every day for months he has been falsely saying at every opportunity that absentee ballots produce massive fraud. They don't, of course, Trump, himself, always votes absentee, but telling a lie over and over and over until a percentage of the population believes it to be true is Trump's modus operandi. If the election, and an Electoral College win, does, indeed, come down to very close results in Pennsylvania, or Florida, or one of the other toss-up states, it's easy to see Trump demanding the state's results be thrown out, using his phony voter fraud argument. It's important to remember that Gore actually won Florida in 2000. Using every possible method to count the disputed Florida votes, Gore won by a range of 60 to 171 votes. Unfortunately for America, the Supreme Court voted 5 to 4 to stop the complete recount before it was finished and gave Bush the victory in Florida, and the Electoral College win. Trump, of course, is pushing to have the vacant Supreme Court seat filled, even though there are less than 30 days before the election. (There were over 230 days before the 2016 election when the Republicans said no to voting on Obama's SC nominee during an election year.) If it's a close election, he'll have an easy 6-3 vote in his favor should it end up in the Supreme Court again. Thanks to the archaic Electoral College, we get into messes like this. Thanks to the archaic Electoral College, a handful of 'swing states' always get all the attention from the candidates, while the many other 'safe states' are unfairly ignored. Thanks to the archaic Electoral College, the preferred candidates of the voters were ignored in 2000 and 2016 and we ended up with two horrible presidencies from the two candidates who received fewer votes, Bush and Trump. Here's hoping Biden wins big--but even that might not stop Trump from clinging to power; he is always and forever a spoiled brat and bully used to getting his way even if he needs to cheat, as his past record shows. Scary times. 3

Also, he didn't note Comey's October surprise. Seems unlikely that anything similar is going to happen despite the repeated predictions of certain right wingers. The best they can do now is misrepresent the data released by Ratcliffe about Hillary Clinton. And as far as I'm aware, she's not running. Thank you for coming up with maybe 2. (There's no heavy lifting with 'executive orders, by the way. No real work to be done working with Congress on passing an actual bill. Trump's lazy. Doesn't come up with a health plan in 4 years--promises, promises--but instead signs an easy-to-do 'executive order' proclaiming pre-existing health conditions are protected. Of course, his 'executive order' is as phony as his spray tan with no power, no enforcement, and does not protect anything. Many have speculated that this was the blank paper he signed while he was in the hospital. Might as well have been. So the order says something that isn't true. Should this be classified as a lie? I think so. Meanwhile, his lawyers are in court trying to eliminate pre-existing health protections. Should it be a lie that Trump says one thing while he is actually doing the opposite? I think so.)
