Popular Post webfact
Nam Oon sentenced to 8 years over ‘Lunlabelle’ case By The Nation The main suspect in the death of a model dumped in the lobby of a Bangkok condo was sentenced to eight years in jail by the Thonburi Criminal Court on Wednesday. Rachadech “Nam Oon” Wongthabutr was found guilty of illegally detaining Thitima “Lunlabelle” Noraphanpiphat, causing her death. Rachadech was caught on security camera dumping Lunlabelle’s lifeless body on the sofa of his Talat Phlu condo in the early hours of September 17 last year. The pair had earlier returned together from a house party in Nonthaburi’s Bang Bua Thong district, where Lunlabelle was hired to serve drinks. Also found guilty in the case were the party house’s owner, Chaiyaphon Panna, 29, and four party goers – his elder brother Nathee Sathipongsathaporn, 33; Chaiyaphon's girlfriend Phikunthong Bunpha, 24; Koset Ritnithiruek, 35; and Kritsada Lohitdi, 27. Each was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months, and must pay Bt748,660 compensation. The 24-year-old Rachadech was arrested on September 24 at a gas station in Bangkok. The mysterious death of the popular "pretty" gripped public attention as security camera footage of the incident and other clues spread like wildfire across the internet. The case also exposed the murky side of the entertainment business, where presenter-models known as “pretties” make their living as party entertainers in exchange for high wages despite risks to their personal safety. Popular Post bander
Alcohol and drugs can make people do stupid things, in this case one girl is dead and 5 party members involved sentenced to 5 years in jail. Be careful out there if you bring a drunk lady from the bar home with you and she pass out and die while you are sleeping. 5 years in Thai prison is not what you want in LOS. Another nail in the coffin for Thailand as tourist destination? 8 10 4

What if I pass out and die while we are sleeping? Will she be going to jail? How about the other guys at the party that didn't take her home, they still went to jail. Your warning should be extended to 'never attend a party where girls get drunk', if they die in the next 12hrs, you could get 5 years in jail. I think the jail was more about him running around trying to dispose of her dead body, than her dying in his bed in her sleep. Can't imagine why the other guys at the party got jail sentences, it's inexplicable. Edited October 15, 2020 by BritManToo 11

'Party entertainers' ........... did you mean hookers? I learned early on in my adventures in Thailand not to take girls home that are so drunk they can hardly stand, I wasn't worried about them dying in their sleep, but I wanted to avoid cleaning up the vomit all over my room the next day. Don't get me wrong, it's really sad she died, but I'm not sure it's anyone's fault except her own. Nobody held her down and forced the alcohol into her. Pretties think this is preferable to working all day for 350-500 baht, they can sleep all day, dress up at night and get 3,000-5,000 or more.

If she died at the party residence then they all become accessories... if she died from alcohol related poisoning better then if they called an ambulance & notified the police about a tragic accident, hiding the body was the big mistake. Popular Post nobodysfriend
Why did that guy react in that way ? If she did of alcohol poisoning in her sleep , the normal reaction would have been to just call for help , an ambulance or the police ... Why did he need to carry her lifeless body down to his condo's lobby and dispose it there ? Stupid thing to do , or was he still drunk ...?

Nowadays, you could say that about sober women, too. But eventually the human population would collapse if nobody took the risk.

I was once a heavy drinker, now just a couple beers once in a while, nice and safe. And I don't go anywhere NEAR drunk women, I just don't like drunk people period. ChipButty
I think his mistake was to dump the body in the lobby but we dont know the whole story if the police would have been called then the condo would have been a crime scene maybe drugs and drink involved. Yeah, it's true. luckily though i don't think it is as common here in Thailand as it is in the west. of course there are always risks, but i guess one can lower their risks by not bothering with women who are in such a paralytic, drunk state? 'the drunk lady' was forced to be drunk by people holding her mouth open and pouring the intoxicating liquor down her throat !! Nothing to do with tourism as both are/were Thais. This type of behaviour is common place in any city of the world. Men behaving badly and being totally irresponsible more like it. Drugs are illegal, what more can i say! Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. The accused took full advantage of her status and left her for dead. Sort of blows your rendition out of the water...IMHO 1

Used to be the same also. Can't say i was a heavy drinker as such, but i certainly used to binge drink on weekends.. Much more happy now that i drink in moderation. Autopsy results showed she was dead between 15:00 and 19:00. Her smartwatch says her heart quit beating at 17:00. Which is before he "took her back home". Apparently she was dead at the party. Coconuts Bangkok has an extensive group of articles about the whole sordid mess.
