Now that we are in the covid era, you cant swing by the embassy and get same day service, which could prove to be disastrous if you don't dot your all your i's and cross your t's. I was just wondering if I can type out my visa application instead of using a pen "because it says blue or black pen only." Also, they want a fight confirmation with the return flight. I forgot what the deal was with this from last time.

I think when they refer to a pen is to specify the color of ink they want people to use. I see no reason for them to reject a application that was typed in and was signed with a pen.

I don't recall immigration wanting a flight confirmation when applying for a visa with along with a certificate of entry.

I just called the embassy and she said they are not even doing tourist visas because of Covid. It doesn't mention that on the site.....

You didn't mention a tourist visa when you posted. If a country qualifies as a low risk country the special tourist visa and a special single entry tourist visa can be issued.

The US does not qualify for either one now. This from the embassy website in Washington DC.

"Due to a high number of infection rate, the APEC card holders and the applicants who are currently in the USA and wish to obtain Special Tourist Visa (STV) do not fall under the categories that could enter Thailand at the moment, please check back regularly for any updates."
