Floods in Cambodia kill 24 people

Floods triggered by torrential rains have killed 24 people in Cambodia.

 

A tropical storm brought torrential rain that has fallen intermittently for more than one week. Flood damage has been reported across the country, including the capital, Phnom Penh, where a river overflowed.

 

Cambodian media report that the floods have inundated about 60,000 homes and forced more than 26,000 people to evacuate.

Observing the satellite tracking path of the rain into Thailand and the intensity of it in Cambodia I can well believe the degree of flooding and deadly impact!
