Popular Post webfact
When it rains it pours! Bus passenger has to put up his umbrella INSIDE VIP coach! Picture: Daily News A bus passenger travelling from Bangkok to Mukdahan in the north east on Friday got zero joy from staff or the company itself after water started pouring over him from an air-con vent. It got so bad that he had to put up his umbrella. He posted his experience with a video and pictures on Facebook, a tale that was widely shared and commented upon. Daily News caught up with Thotsaporn, 30, who said he was travelling on a VIP service for 700 baht that left Mo Chit at 8.45 pm. He was going to his hometown in Mukdahan to make merit. As soon as the bus left the bus station there was a heavy storm and the rain started coming in. He reported it to the crew on the bus but after an hour they had done nothing. He posted a video clip on the company's site and they promised to get in touch with the staff to sort the problem out. Still nothing happened. So he put up his umbrella; however this was not a good solution as the water just splashed on his fellow passengers. In the end he resorted to using his blanket to stop being soaked and fortunately the storm abated by the time they reached Korat (hundreds of kilometers outside Bangkok). He pointed out that other passengers had similar problems and at 700 baht the service could not be described as cheap. CelticBhoy
"We Won't Make a Drama Out of a Crisis" an advert I remember from the UK once said. I guess Thotsaporn never saw it. Hope he gets his 700 Baht back, the 'drip' that he is.
Popular Post lujanit
Obviously the super superstitious Thai's don't consider opening an umbrella indoors as bad luck.
Popular Post Grumpy one
The roof of the bus leaked, no big surprise when you see how they drive under trees and signs What did the passenger think the bus staff would do, fit a tarp over the roof. Or do what they do every day, dont give a stuff about anything 3

He has every right to express his dissatisfaction. Getting wet INSIDE a car, taxi, bus, etc. is not normal or acceptable. Just because this is Thailand doesn't mean everybody has to put up with everything! 15

tifino
But of course no due consideration to the passengers around him!! - the poor dudes beside and behind him, run the risking of getting their eyes poke out... - ALL dudes in surrounding seats cop all the water runoff from HIS umbrella... Bit of a ‘gone native' response that.... Pointing the blame at the victim and sidestepping the underlying issue... .... are we to see a ‘crack down’ on people opening umbrellas inside vehicles? RubbaJohnny
Needs to contact the spokesperson at the ahem, hub, a moist opportunity to teach them a lesson that VIPs shouldn't be passed on.
