Success @ Trat Immigration (Laem Ngob)

Received stamp until 30th Nov today.

 

Applied 18th Sept 

Consideration stamp 8th Oct

Received notice of approval yesterday

 

Was handed attached form, was told could apply for 60 day extension from Nov 1st onwards, and would have to wait 15 days from date of application to receive the stamp.

So an Amnesty extension and not an Extension of stay.  Clarity might be helpful.  What type of Visa did you arrive on, and why just do these small 30 and 60 days extensions unless you are not able to obtain one based upon being married to a Thai, being retired, having a WP and job.  If it is just for a regular VOE tourist visa then yes you were successful in getting the amnesty extension, but after November 30 you might want to find another visa type if your planning on staying here. Paying 1900 baht every 2 months is what an annual extension for 12 months runs.

Was the OP asking for generic visa advice? 

 

Thanks @Pla Simon for another report on the 60 day extension. I think most immigration offices will be providing it come November.

I personally would think ~1000/month to stay in Thailand without for example money in bank (retirement extension)

etc is a pretty good deal.
