Unprecedented damage. Read the IMF.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is exacting a severe social and economic toll on Europe. By mid-October 2020, more than 240,000 people have lost their lives in Europe, while nearly 7 million people are estimated to have been infected with the virus...

Real GDP fell by about 40 percent in the second quarter of 2020 (annualized quarter-over-quarter), with deeper contraction in advanced Europe, ...

And with new infections nearing double that of the US, it will get worse.

Do you understand that it was claimed that European economies were "destroyed". To your way of thinking is there no significant difference between being damaged and destroyed?

The United States has the most cases in the world at 8.5 million and the most fatalities with 224,000 lives lost. The United States has reported over the past week an average of 60,000 new cases per day, the highest seven-day average since early August.

I wonder if the liberal "give us our freedom mob" will be out on the streets shouting.... we need no protection methods.

I think I read where Trump hasn't even bothered to attend any Covid Task Force meetings in several months.  With Trump, hard to say if that is a good or bad thing.  Clearly there has been no coherent, strong,  national leadership from the President from the start and that is why the death count is 220,000 and rising.

Nobody can be this stupid.

Not sure its stupidity, nor arrogance?

Given that the president could have easily won re-election had he made even the slightest effort to 'pretend' to lead the fight against COVID-19.

Instead he, and his 'administration' literally made every single bad/wrong decision possible. Honestly, a monkey throwing darts could have done better.

It seem like, owing to some pyschogical/character flaw or accelerating mental deterioration, he really wants to lose (not be president any longer).

So that requires contributing the deaths of thousands of Americans, and generally soiling the country on his way out.

Will be interesting to see how much burning and looting he does if he loses, during his lame-duck term.

If he loses, my guess is that he will not all of a sudden start acting "presidential".

Just reading the other article about the cult guy that got 120 years, so it seems that there is no amount of stupid people that will follow him, Trump that is.
