IMO Trump will have a clean clear win. The elitist liberal bubbles on the coast do not represent the real America. But the democrats will not accept defeat and claim cheating without clear evidence, t

By any objective measure, Trump will have a clear and complete win.  Just have a look at the crowd response to him vs. Biden.

With a tensions running high on the run-up to the US election, who do you think will win the election?  Please make your choice from the options listed.  Remember this is who you think will win the election and not who you want to win the election.

Please feel free to post a comment, but unnecessary discussion will be removed.   There are numerous threads with specific issues in which discussion is more important.  Please limit discussion about election related issues, polls and related issues.

Biden will win a clear electoral victory. Trump will contest up to the supreme court with the tiresome “voter fraud” nonsense and conspiracy, expecting enthronement by the hand picked majority of conservative judicial activists. But the Justices have surprised the GOP before. So it will go one of two ways.

  • A second Trump administration ensuring a very grave period of history and clear end of democracy in the US.
  • Trump forced to concede. As promised unprecedented street violence by Trump minions, the emboldened racist paramilitaries and other armed lunatics. Trump never actually admits defeat "it was rigged" as he has been saying even before election, but the bully-boys  eventually forced to stand down in exchange for some immunity for prosecution. This is the Trump family's way out.

Trump he will maybe leave the country. Self imposed exile in Doonberg or Dubai railing against the US by weekly video podcast, an orange Bobby Fisher? Close lifetime FBI and secret service protection of course, the actual purpose to keep Trump from defecting to the exUSSR or China to sell US secrets for personal enrichment. An insane bankrupt exPOTUS under possibly multiple legal indictments would be a huge intelligence vulnerability and flight risk. May never be allowed to leave.

Another scenario is Trump refusing to leave the White House, and eventually being removed in handcuffs or a straitjacket.

You are spot on with your first comment, Trump would be able to complete the transition to dictatorship. Next step would be extension of the two mandated Presidential terms.

US is a basket case with their antiquated electoral college. How can one lead the country when the majority don't vote him. This is probably the worse kind of election fraud and a failing of democracy.

Many on the Right (perhaps accurately) describe the USA as a constitutional federal republic, rather than a democracy. The Electoral College is constitutionally designed to prevent domination by the majority.

You're wrong.

There are plenty that would take him.

As far as I know, federal republic is a form of government whereas democracy is an ideology that helps shape how the government is elected. I also question the relevance of the 1804 amendment to the 21st century. This just my opinion and I realistically know it wouldn't matter much. Just to conclude that most countries have moved away from EC like France, Spain and even South Korea. US and few undeveloped countries stand out as the countries that still have the EC. Quite stunning. This is off topic and I will end here.

The comparison the lecturer used isn't apples to apples.  Medical procedures evolve as we gain new knowledge.  The intent of the founding fathers was to create the Constitution based on eternal truths as best they knew how.  Freedom, for one.  God given rights for another.

Sorry about using your post Lacessit but I have got this trumpie on ignore, so cannot respond directly to his post, however, he doesn't seem to have read post through to the end, especially as my post included a quote from Thomas Jefferson himself who suggested that the constitution needed to be looked at as time went on, because of the changing world.

So it was Jefferson himself who said that changes could be necessary as time went on.

Like his bit about "God-given rights" because that covers a multitude of sins, pun intended!!! And laughed at "the eternal truths" bit!!!
