Crossy 27,211
Is this a vehicle or fixed application? The manual is always a good bet, Google is your friend. EDIT looks like it's a boat, the manual is still the best bet.
Crossy 27,211
From this page https://www.westmarine.com/WestAdvisor/Diesel-Engine-Maintenance Quote The typical interval is every 100 hours, but this varies from as few as 50 to as many as 200 hours (small engines like my 1.6 Liter Yanmar take only a small quantity of oil, and need more frequent oil changes, in this case, every 50 hours). Let us know which engine your boat has. Have a Volvo Penta and do it right and you don't have to change the oil for 1,000 hours. https://www.volvopenta.us/brand/en-us/news/2015/oct/vpenta-doubles-the-service-interval.html
Jitar 660
Depends on the engine and operating conditions. Cat traditionally recommend 250hr for construction equipment in normal conditions. This has been extended to 400 or 500 hrs for newer models.
teacherclaire 1,864
How often you have to change the oil of a Diesel engine depends on if it's a hot climate, if you drive long distances or city traffic. I change mine with a filter every 5,000 km, and I already have more than 300,000 km on the clock. The engine, Mitsu L 200 still runs like a Swiss clockwork. Once the color turns black, it's time for a change.

So basically the moment the engine starts for the first time after an oil change you change it again ?
