Popular Post Bim Smith
I don't see decimating your economy as a success and all the deaths and harm that's gone with it. Back in January when China were releasing (what we now know to be false) images of people collapsing in the street and Thai government blindly followed the World Health Organisations advice at the time to not close its borders. In those three months before lockdown millions of tourists (mainly from China) arrived and went. Even I was aghast at the time why they didn't close them earlier. In addition there are huge question marks over the accuracy of the tests and even the Thai government acknowledged many false positive results over the months after lockdown. As the Bangkok Post recently stated an increase of 22% in suicides more have died as a consequence of this overreaction, not to mention the over 11 thousand who have died on the roads. But if your testing only 14 thousand out of a million of the population how on earth can any state Thailand is Covid free. My point is we should have learned to live with it. In fear we make bad choices. If it were ebola Id be right there with them but it simply isn't. Thailand isn't winning anything. It's a huge loss that's almost always those who make the decisions never pay the price. There is no going back to normal. Oncw we accept this we have a different debate and conversation. If anyone is any doubt look up the great reset from the World Economic Forum.

The democrats are really like a left wing of the Republican Party their policies are right of centre and they are sponsored by big corporations. Yet they are labelled as "socialists" by some lol. So yeah thats your "left wing media"...just left of Fox News
Blumpie
It is astoundingly ridiculous to imagine it any other way. The vaccine is here, they are just putting the last part through trials. They are all confident that it will work. The problem is getting it out there to billions of people. And for tourism, most of earth needs to have had some exposure to it. This pandemic is past its infancy, it's now in the toddler state. And it's going to be a long time till this is over. 2021 will likely be a total write-off, unless you're Thai and count 400 tourists visiting a month as a major accomplishment. Patjqm
12 hours ago, webfact said: 'People must brace for new-normal lifestyle for at least two years before Covid-19 is contained' By The Nation Dr Yong Poovorawan, a specialist in virology at Chulalongkorn University. The Covid-19 pandemic may take about two years to slow down, after a large number of people become infected and become immune to the disease and around 60 per cent of world population receive a vaccine, a medical expert said on Sunday. Dr Yong Poovorawan, a specialist in virology at Chulalongkorn University, said the "new normal lifestyle" is needed for at least two years until the population has been immunised to levels that are higher than the herd immunity figure. Speaking of achieving herd immunity, he said when the majority of people become immune to Covid-19, either through infection and recovery or enough vaccination, then the disease will not spread. Giving an analogy, he said: “It is like a person who has immunity is a white sheep, and a person without immunity is a black sheep. If there are mostly white sheep in the herd, germs or dangers that could befall the black sheep would be kept at bay because the white sheep surrounding it would make it difficult for the invaders,” said Dr Yong. As for Covid-19, it is estimated that 60 per cent or more of the group should have immunity, or immunity should be acquired by vaccination of at least 60 per cent of the population, then the virus can be contained, but that does not mean it has been eradicated, he cautioned. Made it through the intersection and past the German Embassy. Now watching the crowd push forward up Rama 4 and to Sathon Rd. from the Condo's balcony. Quite impressive, if this is part of the New Normal, it will be an awakening for those in power.

Imagine if all of San Francisco or Chicago were placed in a similar lockdown, the BLM protests would look like a tea party by comparison. Either you have a full lockdown, or you don't.
