"However, the Public Health Minister expressed concern about the ongoing political rallies, as they might pose a risk of COVID-19 transmission. Social distancing has not been strictly implemented."

Yet some ministers, ex ministers and their wives are telling yellow shirts to protest and hold political rallies.

From the perspective of English, only a vaccine is an anti-covid measure, ie., stop infection. What the Minister is confirming is the effectiveness of covid-19 "counter measures", ie., avoid infection. Thailand does not yet have a vaccine.

Mr. Anutin urged people to have confidence in the public health measures, and that Samui is still a safe destination for tourists.

As if he'd say otherwise, however what's his comment about a quarantine facility not being kept up to hygiene standards?

How convenient to bring that into the equation.

You might have noticed, despite numerous, well attended protests against your lot, the Thai Covid figures remain the same !

You can put that down to Albert Einstein, not many people know he has distant cousins in LOS>

He instructed the Department of Medical Services to provide face masks, alcohol-based sanitizers and to set up medical tents at protest sites.

Covid-19 might not be the major fear from the protest rallies, but above mentioned is indeed a positive gesture...
