ubonjoe 47,903
Finally they have formally announced it but still no details on the immigration website. It was not on the immigration website earlier today and there is no accompanying notice yet. 1
Dart12 488
THAT would be nice, no? idk. But Jomtien is not acting in accordance of National decrees, that's for sure. They are having us head back just about every week under the Covid extension. Not bi-monthly, not monthly. Weekly. Someone just PMed me that they went back on 26th (they were there on 15th too) for their November stamp...and were given a number again and told to come back again on November 3. AFTER the current Visa is no good. Didn't even give a stamp of any sort. Definitely looking into hiring agent to handle my GF's after we get the official NOV stamp for her. I paid 3,900 baht so i don't think that's correct. Ubon immigration informed me that we can only apply for this extension twice - this may change of course.

When has Jomtien ever done things correctly. Just one example. Requirement for extension retirement to return after 90 days to show 800k still in bank. One of a couple of offices to do this out of ~ 80 IMM offices. Bloody ridiculous that on so many matters our experts such as ubonjoe needs to type "you need to check with your imm office" on so many various occasions. Yes it happens in other countries also, however Thailand is the gold medalist in inconsistency.
edwardandtubs 2,336
I was at counter J of MTT today and didn't see any forms for the 60 day extension. Only the normal TM7 form was there.

The only form related to it I have seen is a affidavit to complete and sign they may give to you. 1
edwardandtubs 2,336
It seems that when you apply for these 60 day extensions in Bangkok you're given an under consideration stamp and told to come back in a few weeks. I wonder if this is how all offices will be doing it.

They could ask for proof that you hold a very large sum of money in a Thai bank.
edwardandtubs 2,336
Are there any reports of any offices giving this 60 day extension on the date of application? I've seen one report on Facebook from a guy who got stamped to 30 December in Hua Hin but in all the other reports the applicant has to come back a couple of weeks later. fondue zoo 419
When filling out the TM7 form what do you state as the reason for this 60 day extension?

darrendsd 3,409
I am stamped until 30 November (under the previous amnesty) I assume I don't need to go again before October 31 to obtain the 60 day stamp?
