Popular Post webfact
Rayong: "Big Oud" busts gang posing as immigration officers Picture: Naew Na Thailand's immigration chief Sompong "Big Oud" Chingduang gave details of the bust of several men posing as immigration officers in Rayong. The announcement came after news reports of crimes committed by a bogus gang, reported Naew Na. A gang of six men had been reported in the press as having been checking up on migrants in the province. They had fleeced shopkeepers of money. Sompong said that when he heard about the activity in the media he sent in his men to investigate. CCTV showed a group of six men dressed as immigration officers at a gas station in Khao Lam Road, Sri Racha, Chonburi, on the morning of September 15th. Picture: Naew Na They got in three vehicles and drove to the Pluak Daeng area of Rayong and returned to the gas station in the afternoon. This led to the arrest of three men - Wissanu, 45, Ekkachai, 36 and Ratchanon, 32 - and evidence in the form of a Toyota vehicle and immigration clothing. They were charged with embezzlement and impersonating police. Three more suspects are being sought and arrest warrants have been issued. You can't make this stuff up. Add to this, people impersonating politicians (also involved in embezzlement), and you see why Thailand is a laughing stock to other countries.

Part of your comment is correct however the nonsense in your statement ... Thailand is not a laughing stock to other countries ... why continue to Thai bash every time you open your mouth ? Other countries are not concerned with Thailand's political situation or their government or there citizens. Other countries are concerned about their own citizens and their own way forward. So saying that Thailand is a laughing stock to other countries is laughable ... Other countries don't give a hoot what Thailand does inhouse. ..... lol

spidermike007
Not sure what the distinction is between the real officers and the fake officers. I guess one group fleeces officially, and the the other group fleeces without a real badge.
