Photo: Phuket Ruamjai Rescue Foundation PHUKET: Two men suffered electric shocks while collecting Vegetarian Festival flags at the intersection of Soi Palai and Chao Fa East Rd in Chalong yesterday (Oct 26). Sayan Thammaphan, Head of the Phuket Ruamjai Rescue Foundation, explained that rescue workers and an ambulance from Chalong Hospital were called to the scene at about 10:40am. Rescue workers arrived to find Manat Srisuwan, 52, and Myanmar national Soh Min Jun, 41, both on the ground near a power pole. The amount of people I know who think because they can wire a plug they can do anything electrical is shocking ! Popular Post steven100 Posted October 27, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted October 27, 2020 the usual lack of safety .... we all know Thai's have zero respect for electricity. a couple of weeks back I was sitting under cover from the rain and a guy nearby under an umbrella was using a fan and phone watching videos, the lead he was using ran some 10 meters, it was a twisted pair and joined half way to another lead, at the join there was a puddle of water, it looked to be tapped together but very unsafe, I pointed this out to him and he more or less said ' Mai pen rai ' .....
