Pattaya Spotter
This isn't good... A 7-hour flight has been linked to 59 coronavirus cases in Ireland https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2020/10/26/ireland-flight-covid/?outputType=amp Edited October 27, 2020 by Pattaya Spotter
ThailandRyan
Saw the article when it first surfaced. Literally, quite an interesting and eye opening read when you listen to people discuss the untested Thai repatriation flights with those foreigners who did test negative before. Now you can see how all should be tested before a flight. Especially since only 17% of the flight was booked and there was plenty of social distancing.
Captain Monday
No testing proper to flight. A rubbish story. Commercial air travel is safer than being in outside air in a crowd.

Pattaya Spotter
For those who can't get past the paywall...in summary: Irish government health officials linked 59 virus infections to a flight that arrived during the summer. 13 of the 49 passengers (flight only 17% full) tested + for the virus and 9 of them wore masks. They then went on to infect 46 more people throughout the country. They said it demonstrated the potential of air travel to spread the virus.
