Sounds like your government is not completely sold out to Big Pharma, the FDA, and the industry. In America, mine sold out long ago. Same with prescription drugs. Some of the highest prices in the world. My diabetic friend pays over $300 a month for his insulin. Zero integrity, when it comes to the treatment of the public. The quality of life is declining in America in a dramatic way, and it has been for a very long time now. This is just one element. Only those who live there, will argue with that premise. There is an element of being within the bubble, that creates a rather blinkered mentality.

Funny thing, the conservative element in Australia is forever trying to white-ant our medical system. It has had some painful reminders from voters not to mess with it.

Your diabetic friend would pay $6.60 for a month's worth of insulin.

Then again, we do not have an Electoral College system.

My post here will not make much sense to most readers.   I used to read some of D Casey ten years ago,  but lost money on uranium  which they used to push as a good investment   haha

 

Just came across this interview though.... and the main point that i subscribe to is the total decline of usa.     i ran away eons ago,  but somehow the "greatest country on earth"  fantasy just keeps rolling along,  with the printing presses at warp speed.    Will it ever come off the tracks?

 

Also interesting, as to relevance to Thailand...... is the prediction that one day soon the "choice" for president will be a General.     The world is becoming a real obstacle course for those (few) who still value freedom.

I would like to thank Pravda ....... for allowing imaginations to wander and branch off the topic into such wonderous things as which dentist to use  and  explorations into the possible downfall of the US.  

Some on this forum ( oh, if i could only mention a name   lol)  will throw a hissy fit ,  scream about how any post not to his liking is off topic,  etc .   

 

as for the original OP...... my opinion is  ,     rent out your Canadian place,  stay here and keep enjoying what you say you do about our present "home"

My tenants moved out giving me a week notice and I'm going to have to spend 1500 painting and cleaning. Plus agent is asking 1 month rent (plus HST lol) to find a tenant who can simply not pay rent and by law I can not kick them out even if I want to move into my own place. 

 

So far I'm about 70 percent wanting to go back, sell while I'm still ahead and buy something nice in a cheap province of alberta.

how long has it been since you been back?  I would think heading back, spend some time, then make the decision.  Sometimes going home isn't what you remember it, things change rapidly today...

It's a good time to sell out of Toronto. It's a sellers market, you'll get a very good price for your place. Consider moving to London, or even Windsor, you'll get a similar property for about 1/3 to 1/2 the price that you get for your Toronto property.  Toronto is just a 2 hour drive to London, 4 hours to Windsor. As I said..they have been waffling on since 1775 with a big spike in 1776 and they have never piped down  since.
