Nakhon Ratchasima residents are facing health challenges in addition to the flood crisis with people in more than 200 households in Non Sung district suffering from athlete's foot and other infections.

On Tuesday, the water level in the district continued to rise after Mun River overflowed, as more water flowed in from other districts.

Over 700 households in Non Sung district are trapped in their houses for weeks amid metre high flood waters.

People from about 200 households, particularly the children and the elderly, have begun to suffer from diseases such as athlete's foot and other infections.
