A famous gambler was accused of shooting two people at a massage parlour in Bangkok’s Phasi Charoen district early on Wednesday.

Phasi Charoen police station, who were notified of the shooting at 3am, dispatched officers to investigate the incident at Saree Sauna & Spa on Ratchapruek Road.

The police said a fight involving the three broke out around 10.30pm on Tuesday and one of them reportedly decided to pull a gun and shoot the others, one in the neck and the other in the bottom.

A female Facebook user, who claimed to be a witness, posted a picture of the incident, explaining that the alleged gunman was Apirak Chat-arnon, who was previously invited by a government organisation to provide counsel on online gambling issues.

However, the police are checking footage from security cameras and collecting more evidence before they identify the offender.

The disputants have already begun legal proceedings against each other by reporting the incident to the police.

So were the 3 disputants just getting a soapie with happy ending, or was there perhaps illegal gambling going on? Maybe the shooter was also a bad loser, which would make him an infamous gambler.

Before you all judge, let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Prayut and co wouldn't just invite any old Tom, Dick or Harry without doing their due diligence. I'm sure we'll find out this was all just a misunderstanding. I'm sure his record was clean before they met him.

"The informal invitation had sparked outrage among Thai people last night as Sia Poh was previously and notoriously known for being arrested for several charges, including alleged possession of weapons, money laundering, and allegedly being a drug dealer. Sia Poh was trending heavily on Twitter all evening"

Oh.
