webfact Posted October 28, 2020 Share Posted October 28, 2020 Baby killed, parents severely burned in Prachinburi trailer accident By The Nation A trailer truck flipped over due to a brake and engine malfunction in Prachinburi province early on Wednesday, killing a one-month-old infant and severely burning a man and his partner. Police were notified of the accident just after midnight and called for help from firefighters and rescue volunteers. The trailer was almost entirely engulfed in flames after its petrol tank exploded, and the man and woman trapped inside could not be pulled out until firefighters were able to get the flames under control. They are severely burned and being treated at Nadee Hospital. Their month-old infant was found dead on the road. Police believe the three were a family and the infant flew out of the windscreen when the trailer flipped. PETERTHEEATER Posted October 29, 2020 Share Posted October 29, 2020 The report in the OP is confusing and lacks detail. As read, this family were traveling in the trailer? No. The reader is left to assume that they were in the cab of a truck towing a trailer when, suddenly, beyond the control of the driver the engine and brakes malfunctioned causing the truck to catch fire and eject the infant through the windscreen but not the driver and passenger who must have been restrained.
