90 days report but io said no need

Today I went to Mtt report 90 days.  I was came in BKK from March as visitor and under Amnesty stayed until now.  The io said I don't need to report 90 days until I got visa in November.  My extension was under consideration and need to report back to mtt for final stamp in November.  I am wondering the 90 days reporting is necessary for visitor or not.  Thanks!

Ninety day reporting is not required until after the 31st.

They also might of considered your extension as a the first application that resets the 90 day report date.

The immigration act only states 90 day reporting is required for those on a temporary permit to stay.
