Popular Post snoop1130
THAI transforms old life vests, slide rafts into fashionable handbags By The Nation THAI launches "Re-Life Collection" of handbags and totes made from old life vests and slide rafts. Thai Airways International (THAI) has turned old life vests and slide rafts into the “Re-Life Collection” of limited-edition totes and handbags. Advance orders can be placed online from Thursday onwards until stocks last. Chansin Treenuchagron, THAI’s acting president, said the airline is operating in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include waste management and up-cycling existing resources. The bags come in six styles, with prices starting at Bt390. Some bags may even include the life vest’s serial number. This “Re-Life Collection” is the first series under the Project: RE operated by THAI employees. THAI says it will continue offering more eco-friendly products to achieve the SDGs. The bags can be pre-ordered via thaishop.thaiairways.com from Thursday afternoon onwards, until stocks last. ThailandRyan
When you are reduced to finding ways to sell of parts of your airline to pay off creditors, you now the jig is up. But maybe I will buy a few of the first class cabin seats and install them at home for my guests. Or, Thai Airways can go into the hotel business and sell overnight accommodations onboard the mothballed fleet. 1

But you must be very diligent to rescue the airline with this! The bar fine likely will be higher than in Pattaya, given the debt of the airline. And also please keep in mind that some of the air hostesses, especially the "experienced ones" of Business and First Class will require a lot of intrinsic motivation from your side. Thai Smile will do, the older ones from Thai could serve drinks or clean glasses. Not sure what they could do with the pilots, maybe they can use them as bouncers?

Popular Post Flying Saucage
How about a special promotion? "Become a member of the famous mile-high-club without the need to buy a flight ticket. Just join the club at flight level zero, by paying a bar fine to enter the parked airplane, and a few thousand Baht for banging a comely lass in purple uniform while enjoying the privacy of our first class cabin. Get a nice certificate as souvenir for having experienced this unforgettable journey! Smooth as Silk, that's our promise to you!" They could combine that with a status for "Frequent Flyers", with Silver, Gold and Platinum status, and free "flights" for their most loyal customers. I think this would be the most profitable way to use the abandoned airplanes. To live up to my forum moniker, I gratefully offer to be their first passenger! realfunster
This is actually quite sad on a few levels. Meant for domestic consumption, to show how their mighty national airline are working oh-so-hard during this time. Meanwhile, TG, which has been raping taxpayers money for decades, continues to rot. However, with this initiative and the tremendous donut sales in Chiang Mai, surely light is at the end of the tunnel. I repeat my previous comments - let's privatise all that is possible in the Thai public sector, and move into the 20th (yes) century at least...
zim1982
Personally I am waiting on them to sell airplane parts. I'd buy a yoke. Or a flight attendant. That would really be getting into the spirit of things. Think of it: auction the girls and boys, generate some revenue, and on top of that you wouldn't have to pay them any more wages or severance packages. Win-win for everybody. Well, maybe not for the staff sold.

Where Thai could really be of service and cover the other end of the spectrum for men who like men, is as it looks from my perspective that a majority of the male attendants are of the LGBT persuasion. But I would be in the Thai Smile club. thank you.
Sydebolle
Praise the Lord, prayers have been heard and Thai Airways is getting saved by handbags and doughnuts .............. Is there anyone in that company with a whiff of common sense; seriously? Maybe it escaped their attention but the internet is also accessed outside Thailand; those thousands of passengers waiting for refund look eagerly forward to their handbag - I am pretty sure about that! A truly sad statement indeed. 1

Bangkok Barry
Would you want to buy something whose only previous purpose was to be used in extremely unpleasant circumstances? Not a great association, is it.
ThailandRyan
Just like the Thai lady selling the clothes of the deceased she buys from the temples, and where she dresses up like a zombie on her live page. Yes there is a morbid curiosity for some people.
