Costco pulling products allegedly made with forced monkey labour

The alleged use of forced monkey labour has led Costco to stop selling Thai-made coconut products.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has been tracking such animal abuse since 2019, while urging retailers to pull merchandise made from the bad actors to discourage the practice, USA Today reported...

I thought the Chimps on the PG tips tea advert were very good actors,????

next it will be sheep dogs,bomb sniffing rats,horse and carts,.......

I discussed this same issue with a Thai friend and he said it was nonsense ....  he said it's half a dozen monkeys that the farmer uses to show off to tourists, and they throw a few baht to him for the show,  he said it's done on several farms but it is in no way unethical or harmful to the monkeys,  it's not a use of labour as there are workers who perform these tasks daily.
