TCT president Chairat Trirattanajarasporn said tourism was obviously picking up in the high season while tourism-related operators were offering discounts and promotions and the government was introducing numerous stimulus measures to encourage people to go on vacation. Measures from the government included various subsidies and incentives for people including elderly ones to make trips and for organizations to hold meetings and training sessions in provinces. Popular Post madmitch
Expecting 6.7m international visitors in 2020. Very clever maths as that's the number of tourists that had arrived before lockdown! Clutching at straws and probably just had to say his piece as it seems all other tourism spokespersons have made end of the month statements...... all total speculative tosh!

Yes but he forgot to mention what the target is, is it 8 million, or 11 million? These folk keep spouting off about targets, better just be quiet, because nobody knows what will happen. 3

Not to mention the extraordinary stimulus provided by those 41….(or is it 39?....37?)…Chinese tourists who have already spent 7,563,114, 842 Baht...and still have billions more to spend. Popular Post SomchaiCNX
You can put whatever target you want but as long as those idiots in the government keep on imposing unrealistic rules for people who want to enter, nothing will happen. Is that so difficult to understand? 2

Traubert
Yes a minor ripple in Xinjiang. China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reported 61 new asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 between the end of Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday, the regional health commission said. Among the cases, 46 were in Shufu County in south Xinjiang's Kashgar Prefecture, while 15 were found in the neighboring Akto County of the Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of Kizilsu. As of 6 p.m. Saturday, Xinjiang had a total of 51 confirmed cases, which were re-categorized from previously reported asymptomatic carriers, and 222 asymptomatic cases that were all in Shufu and Akto counties. Nothing they cant deal with. Edited October 31, 2020 by Traubert Spelling
