IMO it's hard to commit suicide successfully. High chance of being prevented from dying or botching it and ending up worse off. Imagine jumping off a high building and ending up a quad instead of dead. The harder they make it to do, the more extreme the methods used to do so become. I believe that anyone should be able to get the suicide pill regardless of reason. My only restriction would be that one would need to convince 2 psychologists that one was serious. Soooo, if a blind person wanted to die because of it and could convince the psychologists they were serious, that's their choice, IMO. No one I've seen on here is saying blind people should be told to kill themselves, IMO. 2
gunderhill
Fantastic and very sensible option removing the religious BS that other countries keep alive. I think it should be a human right to decide when you die.

That excludes people who for example might be in an immense amount of pain from a non terminal condition, or who may have been rendered totally immobile or blind, etc, and who wish to die. That of course in no way implies that many or most quadriplegics and blind people can’t have enjoyable and fulfilling lives, just would give them the choice. OH that's a bit of a bummer but its a start.
