my wife is not Thai but from Hainan

she gets the same

also she does not want our boys going out if it’s raining as it’s dangerous?

coming from England I point out if we did not go out when it rains we would be indoors a lot

Also when our first was born she was supposed not to shower for 30 days and only eat fish soup

it only lasted 3 days

its all about different cultures and beliefs and trying to understand

I have spent a lot time in Thailand and sometimes I would think yes I am beginning to understand their way

then something would happen and I realised I did not have a clue
makes it more interesting to me

all the best to those in Thailand. I will be back when able as despite all the people on here who seem to hate the Thais

always had good times there myself

I don't even listen to these whiners again.

They also claim to have a fever every week, but when I ask have you measured your temperature?

And on top of the, take some paracetamol like candy.

Those folks will never learn.

According to their sissy behavior they must instantly die in western climates...

No Thai I know ever got sick from getting wet in the monsoon.

About the worst effect I've encountered is being used as a hand-warmer after the event.

Where do you find these freaky women?

Probably mainly in bars 55555555555

Thais are more sensitive to cold, my GF won't swim in winter here.

When I took my GF to Australia, it was spring running into summer. Still too cold for her at 20 C. She was huddled up next to me every night seeking my body warmth.

I think people acclimatize, I start to feel cold at 20c since I moved to Thailand.

Really interesting post, I know a large numbers of Thai women that generally get sick the next day after being exposed to rain and getting wet (not all at the same time).

It's an interesting fact, one has to wonder if they are vitamin deficiency in some areas.
