Almsgiver, monks injured in roadside accident in Chumphon

PM pleased' with report on reduction in poverty last year

BEC World laying off 30 per cent of its workforce to cut cost amid economic crisis

Media company BEC World, the operator of TV Channel 3, on Friday announced it was laying off 30 per cent of employees, including celebrities Patcharasri "Kalamare" Benjamas and Kulnadda "Nina" Pachimsawat effective from the end of December because of Covid-19's impact on the economy.

Medical tourism center to be proposed for Phuket

PHUKET (NNT) - Vachira Phuket Hospital, under the Ministry of Public Health, is to propose an International Medical and Public Health Service Center in Phuket’s Talang district to upgrade medical tourism to the province. The proposal will be put to the Prime Minister during a mobile Cabinet meeting set to take place on November 2-3.

Study finds young Thais hitting puberty sooner

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thai Health Promotion Foundation has found Thai girls are entering puberty at an increasingly early age with the average age now being 11 years old and the youngest cases at 7, posing risks to their growth and health as well as the possibility for unwanted pregnancy.

LONDON (Reuters) - Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered England back into a national lockdown after the United Kingdom passed the milestone of one million COVID-19 cases and a second wave of infections threatened to overwhelm the health service.
