But,

"the United States continues to be the most popular destination for immigrants. Achieving the “American Dream” is still a major factor for many families, individuals, and entrepreneurs around the globe. As you may imagine, a better quality of life, increased job opportunities, and financial stability are some of the main reasons for immigrating to the U.S."

US is still the number 1 preferred destination for migrants.

https://www.aantlaw.com/top-5-countries-highest-immigration-rates/

Could that possibly be due to devious Mexico's shameful refusal to pay for that big, beautiful wall making crossing into the US a walk in the park (well, desert)??

Liberals?  Come on.  Have you seen the videos of Trump's supporters?  Jobless and toothless for sure.

Typical of alt right conservatives.  Bash Liberals and the left, but give their side a pass on the same BS.

Oh dear. Anti-Trump supremacy at its finest! Of course poor, uneducated people's vote doesn't account for as much as entitled, rich people's.????

Yup.  Anti Trump.  But pro truth.  Something Trump's supporters have forgot about.  It's got nothing to do about rich vs. poor.  It's about truth vs. lies.????

I saw a video of a Biden rally in PA and there was people (less than 50) but unsure if they have teeth.

But the 58,000 Trump supporters at the rally in PA a few days ago may or may not have ALL their teeth.

But, never mind all that, really it don't matter as Trump leads in PA now and is on then glide path to re-election today.

So do enjoy the evening watching your cognitive challenged loser Biden (who may have his teeth) lose the election while all the toothless winners celebrate another win (A HUGE win) for our President, Donald Trump!

Did you see Trump's Tweet?

Quote

Votes cannot be cast after POLES are closed.

He's not that smart.

So you are OK with Trump, your idol, being a liar?  Biden is not my man.  Neither is Trump.

You shouldn't count your chickens before they hatch... Especially before counting the cities and absentee ballots. If Biden holds on to Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada (all of which he is leading and trending upwards) then he's won.

It's a real "nail biter" and too close to call.

Looks like Trump will win Alaska, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina (though not certain, as some are close). But he will still need at least one of Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan to retain the presidency. However, those states are still looking likely Biden wins.

This is very far from the "landslide" victory predicted by some Democrat supporters.

As someone without a "horse" in the race, I am quite enjoying the contest.

The Guardian has a good "live" update.https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2020/nov/03/us-election-2020-live-results-donald-trump-joe-biden-who-won-presidential-republican-democrat

For sure the GOP did a lot better than even their own polls predicted they would. They were expected to lose the senate and to lose the presidency by a wider margin. It looks like they will retain the senate and while I think Biden will win the presidency, it's going to be a lot closer than anticipated.

In at least 4 of those unconfirmed states the difference between Trump and Biden is less than 1%.

Do they allow candidates to demand re-counts in the US? (as they do in the UK). If so, I can see this going on for another few days.

Gripping stuff!

Yes, but there may be costs.  For instance, Trump has already requested a recount in Wisconsin, which he can do because the difference in vote between the candidates is < 1%, but it will cost him $3 million.  If the difference had been < 0.25% the state of Wisconsin would have paid.

Biden's up by a bit over 20k votes in Wisconsin.  Recounts typically don't make changes that big.

Fox has called AZ already.  If Nevada goes blue, it's over.

Nevada is heavily odds on Biden, as is Michigan and Arizona. Wisconsin was effectively called hours ago. Presidential betting markets suspended. Its all over bar the shouting. Trump will go down as the sorest LOSER ever.. Conformation, if anyone needed it that he is a classic manchild.

Most media outlets have called Michigan.  Fox has Biden at 264, they called AZ.  Only Nevada left and the fat lady will start singing.

What a crazy ride this election was, eh?

Presidential candidates don't normally have an army of 4000 lawyers at the ready on election day to challenge ballots in 50 states either.  The Rs intend to use every possible means to disqualify ballots.  Already several hundred thousand ballots have gone missing in the Post Office.

With Americans having had 4 years experience of the Trump presidency, there is no excuses for having the wool pulled over their eyes. The election race has been way closer than it should have been. Clearly the US is far more racist than I ever thought it was 4 years ago.

Any evidence of that. The irony being that the majority of postal votes would have been for Biden.

If Trump can get some critical case to the Supreme Court he will win.  Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Barret were all part of Bush's legal team in Bush v. Gore in 2000 that led to the Court illegally stopping the recount in FL and handing the election to Bush, as we all know.

It's shaken my confidence in democracy.  Shows the average citizen isn't smart enough to suss out the truth from the lies.  As seen from the many troll posts here. ????

Disagree. It shows that many voters want those lies to be true. Same with the troll posts.

What irony is that?  The implication is that Postmaster Louis DeJoy deep-sixed as many ballots as he could very much knowing that they were likely Biden votes.

Evidently some of the districts that suffered most from Covid increased their vote margin for Trump this time.  Lemmings.
