Thing is they have no control over social media (where most people get their juicy info from). They can request certain pages, etc, be shut down but that can take a long time and usually the answer is no.

These dinosaurs think that by blocking websites they can control the narrative. They couldn't be more wrong. Anyone with half a brain, or younger people who are tech natives, know or can find out how to view whatever they want.

You no undastan...there's a person in a video on that banned channel but i'm not allowed to write about it on this forum...so i won't.

Still works for me.

I's suggest people don't use True as an internet provider if they want to view the world uncensored.

Still on with TOT too although I personally prefer <censored>.

This is a knee jerk reaction to trade agreements im sure with the US. This is all they can do? Thats sad. Good thing is all the other sites are up and running fine.

No, this is a fast-track to censorship. It's standard operating procedure as per page 53 of the dictators handbok, 2nd edition.

Then the other sites don't show a certain video....i wish i could tell you more but i guess you have to read the foreign newspapers for that.

You've got to understand that the true reason for that blocking is to entice legislators to actually follow parliamentary debates instead of surfing their favorite porn.

Parliamentary debates??

I think this could be about Mass Debates.

I can tell my secret now...all pornsites were banned in thailand some years ago but on my laptop they still worked, don't ask me why.

And you can also open an incognito screen (ctrl+shift+N for Chrome) and try it again....i bet it works.

No its not. There is one particular gentleman who does not want a birthday party video to be viewed.

Isnt that the idea of the internet gateway thailand has, they can shutdown sites/IP addresses instantly. Social media is still just IP addressees  and can still be blocked. Even an app wont get far if facebook.com is blocked.

I recall facebook was blocked during the 2014 coup.

Quite. Thailand has been blocking various sites for the last 20 years that I know of. I have had the "Access Denied " message on some of my email accounts in the past. I seem to recall that the Daily Mail I think was blocked at one point, not that that was anything significant.

When I was in China you couldn't access Google, you were redirected to a Chinese browser. Also any company that had connections to Google was generally unavailable, only solution being an expensive VPN, I use Cyberghost and that didn't work.

It has always been a token gesture in Thailand and can only hope it stays that way.

But we do know this is the heart of all porns in the world. So we have "live" PornHubs everyday and whenever we want... and we just like it like that! ???? So banning that on the internet won't change where we are to be considered a non-sexually accustomed place. We all know what's up!

Those of us in the know, might be aware that there is a series of videos on PH and other adults sites by a lady called

Search: nueng

Or

Search: thaiprinc###

Note: the search above has absolutely nothing to do with topics which must be respected. It is the PH site username of a PH actress.

Some of the uploaded videos with her in them referred to her as "Thai Prin####" which would instantly get the entire site blocked.

By the way, she's good. Check her out.

If they block facebook anytime soon, that really will be the final nail in coffin

So many nails... so many coffins...

...and none of those nails are effective in any of the coffins here.  Thaivisa posters have been telling us that they've been trying for decades, without success!

Thailand only realise that Pornhub exists in the year 2020 when the internet has been around since 1997?

I predict a rise in Thai massage business to see the real thing.
