I don't know what he did his lifetime, also i have no idea what they found on his harddrives..can be quite innocent you know, maybe from a nude beach or from something they do in those religious sects...who knows..Also if he used bittorrent he probably has been uploading the movies as well, that's seriously punishable...

 

Well i won't defend him but if he got that childporn online they better close those websites forever. Also on the darkweb they arrested huge gangs in germany who traded childporn but they also produced it with their own children.

 

I'm all for stopping pedophiles but they need real proof.

In my opinion anyone who say, violently mugs an old lady just to steal her groceries is guilty of much more serious crime. Never having surfed porn of any type, I would hesitate to hang anyone just for looking, however distasteful the subject matter may be.

As far as I know I don't know any pedophile. But I know gays, lesbian, a guy who loves feet, another one who likes old women who remind him of his school teacher and lots of other people with different tastes.

Do I like what they like? No. Do I understand that people have different tastes? Yes.

So if that guy only looked at pictures and if he didn't pay for that and if he didn't touch any children then that is bad but far away from worse scenarios.

It seems people like him do what they do because they have the desire to do that. It's not their choice. If they have themselves enough under control that they don't touch children themselves then that is already kind of good news.

Nope. That’s not correct. While Norway treats many prisoners with hotel like premises, that guy is serving in solitude. Solitude in Norway is no joke and often criticized as being inhumane. You sit alone in your small cell for 23.5 hours a day and you get 30 minutes to walk around alone in the prison yard. No internet. .

Please check your facts before telling me i am wrong, because i am not wrong, check it out.

He even tried suing the government because his internet speed was not fast enough.

you do realize that many sex offenders in fact get away with their crimes for many years because the abused tend to be extremely embarrassed to come forward . many times it takes cases like this for people to speak out.  

secondly downloading such images and paying for them is in fact contributing towards those poor kids that have been sexually abused.

Part of me is just happy that my proclivities can be attended to without any looming threats of the law.

The thing is, speaking personally, I have had fantasies cross my mind, then I've watched it in porn, and pretty much always it's only a mater of time before I do it for real. 

 

Looking at pictures/videos reinforces desires and encourages behaviour, not to mention creates the market for abuse.

Good he got caught. now at his age his done he wouldn't survive 1 year if they know what he's in for . I have no problem with adult porn BUT child porn is disgusting and so is any one one who would watch it . They should be fed to the pigs

Right! But I'm afraid looking at those kind of pictures is a first step... or the contrary. Because who other than pedophiles would look at sex with children? No one I hope.

It's good to read an honest comment.

 

Personally I saw this and that and some (Japanese) videos inspired me - good idea.

But I also saw enough things which I don't want to try and don't want to see again.

 

I think often what we like or don't like is "programmed" in our head from an relative early age on. At least for me I still have a similar taste like I had all my adult life. A little changes here and there but not much. I guess if someone is like the Norwegian guy from this article it's likely he was like that all his life. It's unlikely that he first liked adults and with high age somehow changed his mind or desire. And whatever happens, his desire will probably never change. The only question is if he keeps himself under control or not or how much under control.

I am pretty sure he had the same desire all his life. And I don't think he can willingly change what he likes. It's not that he can decide from now on he only likes adults.

What he can and should do is control his behavior. Will he "only" dream about the forbidden things? Or will he look at pictures? Or more? I don't think one has to follow the other. Hopefully he is satisfied enough with visual material.
