What are the missiles they attach to them made of?

Absolutely no idea, which is at the same level as 50% of your original post.

Aluminium has a density of 2.7 g/cc. Steel has a minimum density of 7.75 g/cc. Weight is important when one is trying to fly, not so much when floating.

The First Japanese Car Sold In Britain Was a Piece of Junk

In 1965, the Daihatsu Compagno became the first Japanese car imported to England. Just six people bought it.

On the other hand the Honda motorbikes which were introduced in the early 1960s were an engineering classic, and just the other day I saw one here in Patong.

Sitting on my Triumph 350 twin with its noises, rattles and oil leaks, next to the 250 cc Honda that a friend had just bought, with it ticking over like a sewing machine, made me very envious indeed. And I remember the sneers and jibes at the time about this "Japanese cr@p" and that it would never last.........

Not Chinese I know, but following the previous post comment.

Twenty years ago Hyundai was referred to as Korean c##p in Australia, today it’s regarded as one of the best. Great Wall has been tarred with the same brush also the current MG even though they are selling very well, maybe we should  look a little more closely at what they are offering before we discount them. A YouTube reviewer in the UK reported on a Great Wall pickup and concluded that it lacked very little compared to a Toyota and was half the price, why pay for the name ?.

Any company that sets up in Thailand must be welcome, export or die, tourism dead for next few years in my opinion.

In the UK we were told that it was "Against EU rules" for MG Rover to be bailed-out. Part of why it's now Chinese-owned.

They can keep their Chinese doo doo as I avoid anything from China or made from a Chinese company and avoid all business dealings with them now. Well except a romp with a Chinese hottie wouldn't be so bad. And some of them gals are hot. Reality is China does not need a factory outside of China but it helps them get more into other countries..

One would wonder, with like population of 1.5 billion people that can offer cheap labor,  vast landmass, and most resources available to China to produce anything they like, why would they come to Thailand to manufacture cars?...

Please come out of your cave or from under your rock. Chinese cars / manufacturers are on par with western standards now. I have insights in this business and a lot of parts and components, if not whole cars, are now being produced in China by Chinese companies.

Like it or not, China is automobile market number 1. India will be next.

Yeah may be, but I still do not buy anything from China. Just my thing as have no desire to support them.

Fair point......but I don't perceive that any of these companies country's of origin have a vested interest in Thailand as the Chinese do.........no links no evidence no references

US tariffs on Chinese made goods:

For example, for imported vehicles, a 20 percent tariff could increase the average transaction price of a typically equipped new car by approximately $7,000, from $35,000 to $42,000, if automakers passed on the entire cost of the tariff to consumers.

The distrust being shown to China simply by them making their own cars is very strange.

The US (in the middle of an identity crisis),, don't start me,, moved out & is no longer able to produce vehicles at a cost that the 3rd world can afford.

Many years ago I bought a new Datsun 12 Y to which all my friends laughed at.

Then Dad bought a little Honda Civic to which all his Holden, Rover,  Chevie " or Ford driving mates laughed.

Both cars outlasted them.

Now I am driving ,,,you guessed a Honda Civic with 190,000 clicks on it & never missed a beat

One day you might be happy to drive a Chinese made vehicle.

Times change

The problem is the short lived chassis for tradies, and also engine refits required at low mileage.

Toyota has longevity, something GW does not have. so far

No doubt you can provide a link which gives the percentage of steel in a fighter aircraft.

Perhaps you have a problem with admitting your OP was erroneous, misleading, etc. Methinks you are trying too hard.

There are actually quite large amounts of Steel in Aircraft.

Not the Steel you would make a Tractor out of, but specialist Steels such as Inconel, Titanium, Waspalloy and Super Nimonics.

Looks like you know absolutly NOTHING about the chinese car builders. Better you do a research before you post nonsense like this. It's time to learn something new!!!

I'm not surprised if they are the market leaders in 5 years. ????
