denvemosc46 2
20 year old male here. Every time I go out for a drink, my nights usually start out pretty good, with me being in a good mood, and with a lot of confidence. But as the night passes on, 3 things happens. I get really tired, sad and depressed sitting in the corner not saying a thing, and so drunk that I throw up everywhere and can't remember a thing next day. I know I could just ''drink less'', but I somehow can't make myself do that, when I have had a couple of drinks. Has any of you dealt with the same situation? 1 1
Popular Post madmen 9,945
How much do you actually drink? Throwing up every time is a huge drink. Try going out later say 10 pm to 1am and just pace your self. If your handsum man Get a girlfriend. That tends to settle most wild drinkers down a bit

Popular Post richard_smith237 27,237
20 years old... What are you doing in Thailand ? i.e. work wise.... or did you grow up here (parents working here etc). Its strange that a 20 year old is here as working here would be very difficult (too young to have a degree). Spending any length of time here you’d have friends to socialise with and perhaps thats the key point. Going out and socialising rather than just drinking.... Look on Facebook etc for some sports groups, football etc and join those - limit the booze (i.e. not every night) i.e. limit to just weekends etc or weekends and a Weds night etc. Drinking until you are drunk and throwing up is not going to make you popular in any bar, but sitting somewhere alone means you drink faster - try and strike up conversation with people. Do more in the day time - get up earlier... don’t drink with dinner, when you go out, go out later, go home earlier.
Popular Post BritManToo 45,104
Why are you sitting in a corner on your own? Might as well drink at home alone, it won't stop you throwing up, but at least you'll only be spending half as much. 12

Seems you have a great future, here in Thailand. But if you are determined to squander this potential, I could suggest you develop your interest in wine. Nothing beats sharing a nice bottle, over a juicy Tenderloin with a Thai lady. Thai men are too for that "keeneeow" and seem to believe wine isn't masculine enough.

Popular Post Mops59 332
Well no pretty message here. When you drink every day/night more than 3 glasses a day your body depends on it. In other words you are a alcoholic. Whem you are "sober" you are feeling great and when drunk feeling down. Probably your day to day feeling of live is catching up with you. So what is wrong. Why are you drinking soo much? And why are you drinking every day? Go to Rehab. Sort your troubles out. Stop drinking. Go excersize and find a job. Because in my point of view you are a piece of <deleted> not worth of a nice girlfriend. Or in case you don't R.I.P. You will drink yourself to death 4 1
Popular Post jak2002003 5,108
OP..sounds like you have some problems that are causing you to behave like this. Stop drinking altogether for now till you have got your problem under control. Otherwise you will ruin your life...and at 20 year old that is such a waste....if you get older you will look back at that time in your life and really regret it.

holy cow cm 12,133
Binge drinking. Start and don't stop until completely hammered. I drink heavily more than not, but do not throw up and do not black out. But I am old and still can stay in control when out. 20 years old is a problem. Are you mixing drinks? Say like beer and Thai rum? If so then stay on one alcohol only. Over the years you become more accustomed to handle drinking, but when young it can be a learning curve spiral.
RichardColeman 27,833
For me, though In never really drunk that much (and never smoked), the solution was simple - start collecting something. When you see a collection growing and get enthusiastic about it you start realising that that 1000 baht for alcohol becomes a hard choice for something you really want to extend your collection. Good thing about it, is that my wife supports this, I'm home, I'm not drunk, i don't play around and what I buy is still money - though only God knows how I will get it all back to the UK in years to come.
Popular Post ding 210
1 post but I'll have a go... Yep, this is a "drink too mut" post, for sure. Sounds like me. I tried EVERYTHING and nothing even slowed down that famous progression of the disease. I had to go to AA at 26 yrs old. That was 35 years ago, never slipped, never went to a treatment center. Life's good now, real good. I do think treatment centers are a great intervention and may save many years of suffering, even save your life. I just didn't have the money. AA works as a stand-alone. Google AA meeting in your city for online meetings. Free, and it works. 5

Unfortunately, when one cannot control the outcome of a drinking encounter, once initiated, one is in trouble. Blackouts are a classic sign of serious drinking problems. The only thing you can do is not start. "Drinking less" isn't going to happen. Been there; done that!
