Saltire
This gives some hope but not much I fear. While it's good to see some action against these animals, I would even more like to see more of these so-called teachers do jail time. Even if they win the law suits, how many of those being sued will be able to pay such large sums? Probably won't see a satang. My understanding from reading the OP is that they are taking action against the school, not the individual teachers.

Popular Post worgeordie
You'll be lucky...I say you'll be lucky. lawyers giving them false hope,I would be great if they could win a settlement and more importantly actually get compensation. When a school, company, person has to pay compensation if their actions cause harm to someone, thats the only way anything is going to change for the better, as money speaks louder than words here. regards Worgeordie

DaLa
I'm not in any way condoning the school or teachers in this situation, but who claims damages against parents that abuse their children?
Popular Post JusticeGB
All very well to ask for huge sums of money if the parties being sued have those resources otherwise the lawyers are leading the poor parents to an empty pot of gold and the lawyers will become richer and the parents become poorer because their lawyers will take an arm and a leg in fees.

That would normally be the public prosecutor who would demand jailtime and fines for the parents when the case ends up in court.

ThaiFelix
They used to be tight enough when it came to issuing pencils and paper, or even soap when there was hand, foot and mouth outbreaks. 120 million baht will bring on heart attacks lol!

Scouse123
They haven't a hope in hell of getting compensation or anything with the exception of an apology without sincerity and the possibility of the guilty teacher getting a transfer to another post. I totally agree with another poster saying they are just giving the parents ' false hope ' but in the meantime, pool your funds and resources and pay my fees for a pipe dream.
amdy2206
If I was a parent there I would immediately remove my child and encourage all other parents to do the same. Take all the kids out and leave all the schools empty promoting the reason. Would NEVER leave my son in that environment.
