My Luxury Card Gold Card, a MasterCard by Barclays has no limit, so how does that translate into showing someone a monetary amount since I have no spending limit. If I wanted to buy a Lambo, and they took a Mastercard Gold, and Mastercard approved it, off of the showroom floor I drive. I know plenty of people that do not have money just sitting around, instead they have assets that they can leverage, and by making a simple phone call they can get cash, many live there lives on their cards, and each is paid of monthly.

Popular Post ThaiFelix
Come on guys, have you forgotten you are in Thailand? Have you forgotten the process of Thai decision making? 1, Make the decision, 2. Announce it and make it law, 3. and finally, think about the pros and cons before reversing steps 1. and 2. (in actual fact the laws remain on the books and join the 100's of other laws that are never enforced, like riding in the back of pickups, etc).

Popular Post Mister MXYZPTLK
Oh Thailand, Oh Thailand, where has thou Brains be hiding? ... Now let me think about it. I want to travel on vacation (usually 60 days or less) during this Covid period to get away from old man winter... I want to go to someplace warm, fun, easy to get to, easy to enjoy, easy to travel around, where people welcome me... Hmmm, Let’s see... Nassau, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bali, Hawaii, the list just goes on and on. There are just so many places to choose from.. Hey! What about Thailand? Thailand! Are you out of your mind? No way! 1) they put you in prison quarantine for 14 days upon arrival 2) they put a tracking device on you 3) they require you to have $100,000 insurance policy 4) and now you have to show them proof that you have $17,000 in your bank account for the last 6 months! Thailand? NAH! Forget it! 3 1
Sydebolle
Good luck that all hotels are full to the rim, the restaurants do not know where to seat all those customers from far-away lands and tour buses clogging the streets of the Kingdom. With the Muppet Show everyone knew at least that it was comedy, just on TV; here it is live all over the planet with the compliments of the real Muppets.

paulikens
it doesnt make any sense really, as no one can go on a tourist visa at the moment anyway. unless they have changed the rules because they are about to let people in on tourist visas? surely once they start letting foreigners back in large numbers it will because covid infections will be low so then most countries will be low risk and then most people who wanna stay for more than a month will be able to apply for the stv visa. but who knows what goes on in the minds of the people at the top

If they can't get proper proof the visa should be rejected.. Show 500,000 baht for a tourist to visit Thailand? Why would they do that? Cannot imagine any tourist would be bothered with all that. No, that will be people with ties to Thailand and a few people who have staff to organise their trips. They are obviously hanging on to the notion that Thailand is now an exclusive holiday location; therefore the elite will do and pay anything to be able to plant their feet on COVID-19 free land. It will take time for them to realise that their schemes and plans are doomed to failure. No Billionaires are rushing to Phuket as they hoped. Of course a lot of their statements are meant for domestic ears; to placate them. Plus they have a little breathing space because the polls states that Thais don't want the re-introduction of COVID-19 throughout the country. But they need to come up with something better than the utter nonsense they have conjured up thus far. Each step more idiotic than the previous. Show 500,000 baht equivalent to stay(at least) 30 days? Moronic. Special Tourist? Makes me want to vomit. Game the system? No one is gaming the system. They are doing exactly what is allowed by Immigration. So perhaps you should accuse Immigration of 'gaming the system'. I'm sure that would welcome your hand delivered report of who, when and where. 3
moe666
In 2010 I applied for and recieved a 90 day non-o visa I had to show enough money in bank account to live in Thailand for 90 days. I think at the time I had 12,000 dollars in savungs. Requireing people to have enough money to live on during their stay is nothing new. Popular Post IsaanEng
This will just destroy a whole sector of the struggling hotel sector, all those little places that have huts on the beach in the islands ,that are already being crushed by covid are now dead by stupidity. Not to mention the cheap hotels used by single travellers and back packers around places like Khaosan road. Can anyone name another country so reliant on the tourist industry that is so out of touch with reality.
