A single wild elephant is believed to have attacked three people in Chonburi in recent days.

The latest victim was a 54 year old rubber farmer out collecting resin in the area of Bo Thong, Chonburi.

She was Thurian Suwwanachet from Nong Yai district. Her body was found in pieces.

Her daughter Suneerat said that her mum and dad had been collecting rubber and her mother did not see the elephant coming up behind her. Her father ran for help.

She believes it is the same elephant that was filmed recently and who has attacked two other people.

Local officials were meeting to decide on a course of action.

Musth is a periodic condition where testosterone can be 60 times higher than normal in bull elephants and can lead to aggressive behavior.
