anterian
Is a Thai entering Thailand illegal, or is the offence avoiding quarantine?

There are legitimate ways to enter any country, they have favoured the route used by illegals. The problem is compounded with the Covid19 restrictions, which they have chosen to disregard. They might have left illegally, meaning that they would also be forced to return illegally.
IAMHERE
Looks like 11 Thi's that don't have the money for 14 day quarantine in an approved hotel. Pretty much a case of timing being wrong; 50 years ago nobody would've cared.
Iron Tongue
If they worked for an online casino, why would they need to leave Myanmar? I'd imagine that business would be booming right now.

I'd imagine that business would be booming right now. For reference (LCB);- "The basic situation for online gambling in Myanmar, previously Burma, is that it's technically illegal. However, for all practical purposes, there are no regulations." Perhaps, like Cambodia, illegal online gambling is now being enforced. Even Thailand is now smashing online gambling establishments as many of you may have read. In Cambodia, many thousands of Chinese lost jobs and returned home, and this was before the Covid-19 pandemic.
