Three border camps, for 70,000 displaced people from Myanmar, locked down

About 70,000 displaced people from Myanmar, who have taken refuge in three border camps in Thailand’s northwestern province of Tak, have been barred from leaving after one of them was found to be infected with COVID-19, after having left the camp to visit Myanmar, returning to the camp recently.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - A row over a Thai woman who held up a placard alleging sexual abuse in schools has put a spotlight on harassment in the education system even as she draws threats of legal action for misrepresentation and attacks for soiling Thailand's image.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's economy is expected to grow 4% in 2021 after a 6% contraction projected for this year, due to improving domestic consumption, the finance minister said on Monday.
